The Korea Management Association (KMA), a management innovation group announced today that SK Telecom has won the 2001 Best Value Management Award.
The Best Value Management Awards is given annually to recognize companies that demonstrate the highest standards of management, and which produce outstanding results. A panel of industry professionals judged the award and selected this year’s winner from more than 500 entries submitted nationally. In making their selection of SK Telecom as the winner of Best Value Management Award of the Year, the judges considered SK Telecom’s strong commitment to continuous innovation of management system as reflected in the “SKMS”, the main concept of the company management philosophy.
Mr. Hyo Sup Song, Vice President of the IR Office at SKT, said, ‘We are delighted to be honored with this award. Winning the Best Value Management Award from KMA is considered the highest praise for companies in Korea. This award reflects SK Telecom’s leadership and innovation in corporate management practice.”
Presentation of the award took place at the international convention center of 63 building in Seoul on June 28.
Founded in 1962, the Korea Management Association is a private business innovation group established to support private, industrial, and public sectors in management practice and HR development. The KMA evaluates a company’s management practices and conducts training and research in many critical fields. The KMA’s members consists of over 1,500 major Korean corporations with 3 branch offices nationwide.
