SK Telecom (NYSE:SKM), an official sponsor for ‘2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring’, created a fun experience for esports fans who cannot visit stadiums in-person as the competition was held behind closed doors.

For the final match between T1 and Gen-G, the company placed life-sized cardboard photos of fans in the stands to make the fans feel more engaged. The fans were able to participate in this event by uploading their photos to SK Telecom’s Jump AR app.

SK Telecom also provided live 360-degree virtual reality (VR) broadcast for the final match. 360-degree VR broadcast offers immersive experience for viewers, allowing them to feel as if they are watching the game up close in the stadium.
