SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM, hereinafter referred to as “SKT”) today announced that it will participate in the 2022 Busan International Motor Show and the 2022 Korea Drone/UAM Expo to showcase its Urban Air Mobility business vision and goals.
The 2022 Busan International Motor Show will be held from July 15, 2022 at BEXCO, Busan. At its 400 square-meter booth, SKT will introduce its innovative UAM service and enable visitors to experience UAM flights via a ride on a giant robot arm simulator.
Also, on a large-scale LED screen installed on the back wall of the booth, the company will show how the sky of Busan will look like in 2030 and provide AR images of UAM aircrafts that greet passengers at a vertiport.
From July 15, 2022, the ‘K-UAM Dream Team’ joined by SKT will take part in the 2022 Korea Drone/UAM Expo to be held at Gocheok Sky Dome located in Seoul.
SKT will be presenting its UAM business plans at the ‘UAM Team Korea Strategy Forum,’ which will be held prior to the opening of the Expo. At the Forum, diverse companies pursuing the UAM business will share their progress and present their proposals.
The ‘K-UAM Dream Team Consortium’ will also create an exhibition space to demonstrate their strength in various areas including UAM operation, air traffic control, infrastructure, aircraft and service.
