SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM, hereinafter referred to as \u201cSKT\u201d) today announced that it will launch online-only mobile plans on January 15, 2021 to increase customer value through reduced cost burden and expanded option for mobile price plans.<\/p>\n
SKT will release six different online-only price plans for its 5G and LTE customers. These plans will offer about 30% lower rates compared to the existing mobile price plans and will be provided without contracts.<\/p>\n
\u20185G Untact 62\u2019 will offer unlimited data at KRW 62,000 per month; \u20185G Untact 52\u2019 will provide 200GB of data at KRW 52,000 per month; and \u20185G Untact 38\u2019 will come with 9GB of data at KRW 38,000 per month.<\/p>\n
\u2018LTE Untact 48\u2019 will provide 100GB of data at KRW 48,000 per month; \u2018LTE Untact 35\u2019 will offer 5GB of data at KRW 35,000 per month; and \u2018LTE Untact 22\u2019 will provide 1.8GB of data at KRW 22,000 per month.<\/p>\n
SKT explained that the new online-only price plans were developed in response to the increasing customers\u2019 preference for non-face-to-face channels and will offer more affordable prices by directly reflecting the reduced distribution and marketing costs.<\/p>\n
Customers who newly subscribe to SKT\u2019s mobile service and SKT\u2019s existing customers who switch their mobile devices will be able to sign up for the new plans at SKT\u2019s official online mall, T Direct Shop.<\/p>\n
